Elora Danan

Everyone has a bit of a romantic notion that a band is more than just a collection of musicians who see one another once or twice a week to rehearse or play a show. People want to believe that there is more of a brotherhood behind it all – that the band are all the best of friends… that they all live together in a house where they do nothing but eat, sleep, and breathe the band.

Well, that’s Elora Danan.

Citing the fact the members all live together as the band’s biggest musical influence, Elora Danan have always been about their own tight-knit camaraderie. Their chemistry resonates on and off stage, the members as comfortable with eachother as brothers, and as in sync with eachother as any band would ever hope to be.

Though this alone can’t explain why Elora Danan are resonating as strongly with people as they are. There is more to the band’s chemistry than just their friendship

In under a year, the band has been invited to support heavyweights such as New Found Glory, Carpathian, I Killed The Prom Queen, and Mindsnare, has been taken under the wing of Western Australia’s premier promotional and management team, and have struck such a resounding chord with punters that, after only a few shows, they were playing to packed rooms in their local town.

Now, as Elora Danan begin their campaign for national recognition, it has taken them only two trips to the East Coast to build their reputation. On their first trip they managed to secure a deal with one of the top indie labels in the country (Boomtown Records) and have already been championed publicly by bands like Behind Crimson Eyes, I Killed the Prom Queen and In Fiction. On their second trip over, MX Magazine gave them the cover based on the fun and exciting nature of the members in a photo shoot for the mag. The response is instantly contagious to everyone that meets and sees Elora Danan – they know how to make noise quickly.

As they gear up to release their debut mini-album “We All Have Secrets” in August 2007, it’s clear that Elora Danan is a name everyone is dying to pronounce the right way. EE-LOOR-AH DA-NAAN. It’s one you wont forget.
